Food For Thought!

Monday, October 24, 2005
Friday night, I was driving home from "the-show-we-do-not-name" and didn't realize it would be traffic smorgasbord at the Hollywood Bowl. Gwen Stefani and the Black Eyed Peas were performing and apparently this meant I wouldn't be home for 2 hours. I gave into my fate and sat in my car, painting my nails and so forth.

About 40 minutes after and 10 inches closer to my goal, I turned to my right and caught sight of a man flagging down a black SUV. He looked slightly peeved, either by the traffic situation or the throes of hipster in fur congregating on the sidewalk. It was David Arquette. And he looked good, people.

I immediately scanned around, and saw Courtney Cox Arquette. My old Friends obsession reared its inevitable head, and i geeked out. "YIP, it's MONICA!" screamed my brain and I tried to look nonchalant and not creepy starey, as I vowed never to let the celebrity hype get to me, being a long time LA resident.

No, Coco was not there, maybe it was too late for a baby bopper to attend the concert. But they were squired by 8 or 9 Courtney lookalikes. Maybe Jennifer Aniston was among them, but i doubt Jennifer stands out in a crowd. Fugger.

Anyway, nothing exciting, but one of the few celebrity sightings that made me smile.
